Trade in your old rod and/or reel during our Spring Fishing Classic and you will receive a coupon to use towards the purchase of a new rod and/or reel.

Bass Pro Shops collects all of the Rods and Reels that are traded in and donates them to local non-profit youth programs. This is done during the Gone Fishing Event.

Saturday March 14th
11:00am-Seminar on boat setup for efficiency. Benefits of new trolling motor technology, electronics setup and efficient storage tips for tackle.

2:00pm- Seminar focused on fishing rods, how to pick the right one, and understanding power and action of the rod and the application.

Sunday March 15th
1:00pm- Seminar will be on technique setup from A to Z, from cranking to finesse, also building the right rig, correct line and the right reel and rod.

11:00am- Join us for a seminar all about line, when to pick Fluorocarbon, braid, braid with a leader, or Monofilament and the best knots for each application.

2:00pm- Our afternoon seminar will be on Electronics 101. How to get the most out of your graphs to fish smart.

1:00pm- This Seminar will go over the Johnny Morris Carbonlite 2.0 rods and reels. When and where to use the rods and the features and benefits they have.

Bass Pro Shops Harrisburg proud to host the The U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's Boating Skills and Seamanship (BS&S) course in store for eight weeks during Spring 2020. This is a comprehensive course designed for both the experienced and the novice boater. The course, now in its 14th edition, consists of 8 core required two-hour lessons, plus five elective lessons, providing up-to-date knowledge for handling boats in all conditions. A $49.95 course fee includes textbook and all eight sessions. Certificate of completion requires passing a closed-book test during the last session.

We will be hosting a series of seminars focused on education Women about getting involved more in the recreational sport of Fishing! Our workshop will sum over a variety of topics including- Casting, Knife Sharpening, and What to Wear when out on the water.

The first 25 women to attend the workshop will receive a plaid tote.

The Spring Fishing Classic is fun for all ages!!

Join us from Noon - 4:00pm on both Saturday March 28th and Sunday March 29th for our Youth Fishing activities!

Kids can get a free photo download, do a free craft, and try out the fishing challenge. The first 100 kids on Saturday and Sunday to have completed all 3 will receive a free fish shaped tackle box.

Saturday and Sunday kids can attend our FREE fishing workshops:
1:30pm on Basics of Fishing for Fun.
2:30pm Instruction on knot tying.
The first 25 to attend the seminars each day will receive a patch, fishing journal with stickers and certificate of completion.
