WAYNE SMART, EMT, INSTRUCTOR

Saturday, October 14th from 10am to 6:30pm ● ½ Hour for Lunch

Limit 16, ages 11 and up ● Cost: $69 ● Each participant gets a $25 Bass Pro Shop gift certificate

All of us love a day or more out in Colorado’s high country. But what if you, a friend, or loved one sustained an injury while hiking or hunting in a remote area with no cell phone coverage? Would you know what to do? This class emphasizes practical techniques such as how to make a stretcher or bandages using materials found at the scene. Instructor Wayne Smart, EMT, will also cover more subjects than any similar course offered, including CPR, choking emergencies, tourniquet application, EpiPen administration and triage techniques using a pulse oximeter and glucometer. The usual first aid practices will also be taught. Each participant will receive a certification which meets OSHA and Colorado Fish and Wildlife Division requirements. For questions and to reserve a place, email Wayne at faroutfa@gmail.com. Pre-payment by PayPal required. No refunds. Bag lunch suggested
